One of the oldest surviving subterranean manuscript archives in India, preserving thousands of priceless 11th-century palm-leaf and paper folios. Established under the leadership of Acharya Jina Bhadra Suri inside the secure stone vaults underneath the Sambhavanatha and Parshvanatha temples in the Golden Fort. During eras of regional conflict, scholars transferred rare manuscripts from across Gujarat and Rajasthan to this desert stronghold for eternal protection.
