The historic holy ground where three Tirthankaras were born and where the architectural marvel of the Jain Cosmos (Jambudweep) is built. Hastinapur is deeply holy as the birthplace, initiation, and knowledge-attainment site of the 16th, 17th, and 18th Tirthankaras. It is also the site where King Shreyansa offered sugarcane juice (Ikshu Rasa) to Lord Rishabhdev on Akshaya Tritiya, breaking his historic one-year fast and initiating the lineage of Danadharma.
